Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. is seeking a Local Driver to handle regional deliveries around the Itasca, IL area. The role requires a CDL A license and at least 2 years of recent CDL A experience, with a focus on safe, timely P&D operations and customer interactions.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, trailer docking, DOT compliance, and coordinating with dispatchers. The position offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits, with eligibility starting upon employment.

Qualifications

• CDL A License required.
• 2+ years CDL A driving experience in last 4 years; 3+ years preferred.
• Meet DOT qualification requirements FMCSR 391.41.
• Experience in load securement, route planning and handling various road conditions.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to handle sensitive cargo.
• Detail-oriented mindset required.
• TWIC preferred.
• Hazmat preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives semi-tractor/trailers up to 11 hours after a 10-hour off-duty period on runs of up to one week or more.
• P&D locally.
• Backs trailers to customer dock.
• Complies with DOT safety regulations and driving standards.
• Communicates with customer representatives professionally.
• Coordinates with dispatchers.
• Safely secures cargo and balances load.
• Pre-trip vehicle inspection and basic maintenance checks.
