Job summary

Blue Water Shipping in Florida is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Caribbean & Central America. This manager-level role drives net-new U.S.-origin export business across ocean/air freight, consolidation, and warehousing, with a hybrid schedule and frequent travel.

You will develop regional sales plans, win new customers, and manage pipelines in CRM. Fluency in English and Spanish is required; Portuguese is a plus.

Qualifications

• Five to ten years of international logistics business development experience.
• Proven success winning net-new customers and exporting trade lanes.
• Working knowledge of ocean/air freight, consolidation and warehousing.
• CRM discipline with measurable pipeline and forecast.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute a regional sales plan for U.S.-origin export opportunities to Caribbean Islands and Central America.
• Identify, engage, qualify, and secure new customers across industries.
• Develop ocean/air freight, consolidation, and warehousing opportunities that are workable and profitable.
• Build relationships with exporters, manufacturers, distributors, and logistics decision-makers.
• Maintain territory plans, target accounts, pipeline values, and forecasts in CRM.
• Coordinate with procurement, pricing, operations, finance, and partners to design solutions and quotations.
• Negotiate terms while protecting margin and service standards.
• Complete a commercial handoff after securing new business and support early account stabilization.
• Travel >50% within assigned territory for meetings and market visits.
• Provide regular updates on pipeline, forecast, and market development to management.
