Job summary

Trane in NYC/LI is hiring a Building Automation Area Service Manager to lead service contracts, system upgrades, repairs, and lifetime connectivity with key customers. You will manage field service, coordinate technicians, and drive customer satisfaction while optimizing invoicing and budgets.

The role requires HVAC/building automation knowledge, Salesforce expertise, and a proven track record in leading teams and managing complex programs. Travel to customer sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent.
• 4+ years in industrial sales; 3+ years managing teams, processes, budgets.
• HVAC Controls and Building Automation Systems knowledge preferred.
• Salesforce knowledge preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; clean record for last 3 years incl. major infractions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service coordination; respond to customers; balance technician training.
• Coach and develop service employees; pursue continuous improvement.
• Maximize cash flow; manage invoices post-work; monitor budgets.
• Improve processes to enhance customer experience and satisfaction.
• Ensure safety compliance; provide training for a safe work environment.
• Travel to customer sites; outdoor work and mechanical rooms; variable conditions.
