Job summary
Trane Technologies is hiring a Regional Controls Engineer to lead hardware and software design for building automation systems. You will apply engineering practices to design cost-effective control solutions meeting project requirements.
Responsibilities include design of commercial comfort control systems, review of contract docs, creation of installation drawings, on-site surveys, and cost estimation support. Teamwork and adherence to standards are essential.
Qualifications
- HVAC industry knowledge or related project management/estimating experience.
- Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field; or 3+ years HVAC project management/estimating.
- Windows OS and Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Familiarity with HVAC/building automation systems and IT networking.
Responsibilities
- Design commercial comfort control and automation systems.
- Review contract documents and specifications for automation design.
- Create installation drawings and sequences of operations for installation.
- Conduct on-site surveys to determine controls solutions.
- Transition documents to the field.
- Prepare cost estimates and assist with wiring, commissioning, startup.
- Maintain customer satisfaction and provide feedback/solutions.
- Follow engineering standards and guidance from mentor/manager.
