Job summary
Trane Technologies plc is seeking a Regional Controls Engineer to lead hardware and software design for building automation systems. You will develop cost-effective control solutions and ensure smooth transitions from design to field deployment.
The role requires HVAC industry knowledge, engineering degree, and experience with CAD, IT networks, and control systems. Onsite work is typical with some field surveys to support project delivery.
Qualifications
- HVAC experience in project management or estimating roles.
- Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction or related field.
- Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with HVAC Building Automation Systems and temperature controls.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure and network architecture.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
Responsibilities
- Design commercial comfort control and automation systems.
- Review contract documents and proposals for automation design.
- Create installation drawings and sequences of operations.
- Conduct on-site surveys to determine controls solutions.
- Transition documents to field and support commissioning.
- Assist with cost estimates and wiring/programming tasks.
- Maintain customer satisfaction and follow engineering standards.
