Job summary

Terracon is seeking an experienced invoicing professional to oversee accuracy and timely completion of complex regional project billing. You will apply accounting concepts related to invoicing and revenue recognition while partnering with IT and finance teams.

You will coordinate workloads, review contracts for revenue impact, train staff, and participate in system testing and process improvements. Strong Excel and analytical skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; 5+ years of experience, or 9+ years without degree.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis tools, and reporting techniques.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Leadership and mentoring abilities; adaptable to changing workflow.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accuracy and timely completion of invoicing activities for complex regional projects or clients. Proficient in accounting concepts, practices, systems, and procedures related to invoicing and revenue recognition.
• Support other Corporate or Operational Finance staff with escalated invoicing and reporting activities.
• Coordinate workload of the Regional Finance Team and assign special projects as needed; prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Read and understand project contracts related to billing and revenue recognition and communicate how contractual language impacts project financials.
• Work with Project Management and other Corporate staff to ensure evidence of arrangement for revenue recognition.
• Resolve questions from operations and other departments regarding invoicing status and follow up.
• Perform QA audits and quality control on invoicing and collections activities.
• Provide excellent internal and external client service by maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
• Perform data analysis as needed and participate in invoicing meetings.
• Engage in ERP/billing system testing and training materials creation.
• Actively participate in initiatives and ad hoc projects coordinated by leadership.
