Job summary

WR Engineering, a respected electrical engineering and automation specialist, seeks a Business Development Manager to grow its controls and automation systems across the Western United States, with about 50% regional travel. The role targets semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, energy infrastructure and data centers.

You’ll identify opportunities early, build relationships with technical decision-makers and work with engineers to develop tailored solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in business development or technical sales, or 5+ years in controls and automation.
• Experience selling systems integration or engineered control solutions.
• Technical background in delivering control solutions.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA and industrial networks.
• Degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant technical field.

Responsibilities

• Develop new accounts and build a qualified sales pipeline across the territory.
• Engage customers, general contractors and engineering teams before projects reach tender.
• Sell solutions covering PLC/SCADA integration, control system modernization, electrical engineering, control panels and commissioning.
• Manage opportunities, forecasts and activity through the CRM, collaborating with engineering and operations.
