Job summary

Krause Auto Group is seeking a Regional IT Field Technician to support multiple dealership locations across the Carolinas. This field-based role blends on-site and remote work, with travel between dealerships and occasional overnight stays.

You will troubleshoot, install, and maintain computers, printers, phones, and network gear while delivering responsive customer service. Ideal candidates have IT support experience, strong Windows and Microsoft 365 knowledge, and the ability to work

Qualifications

Experience in IT support, desktop support, field services, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and common business applications.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and cloud-based environments.
Experience troubleshooting PCs, printers, networking, Wi-Fi, and peripherals.
Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, switches, and wireless networking.
Ability to troubleshoot technical problems independently and determine when escalation is appropriate.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel between locations.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite and remote technical support for dealership employees and departments.
Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, phones, mobile devices, network connectivity, Wi-Fi, and dealership technology.
Install, configure, maintain, and replace computers and related hardware.
Assist with Microsoft 365, Windows, user accounts, email, applications, and endpoint management.
Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including computer setup, account access, and equipment deployment.
Assist with network equipment, switches, wireless access points, cabling, internet connectivity, and basic network troubleshooting.
Support IP phones and dealership communication systems.
Work with third-party vendors and dealership technology providers to diagnose and resolve issues.
Assist with new dealership acquisitions, technology upgrades, equipment deployments, and IT projects.
Maintain accurate documentation of systems, equipment, inventory, configurations, and completed work.
Escalate complex infrastructure, network, server, security, or application issues to the appropriate IT team member when necessary.
Ensure company technology and security standards are followed across assigned locations.
Build strong working relationships with dealership management and employees while providing professional, responsive customer service.
Take ownership of assigned issues and follow them through to resolution.
