Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Regional Automation Engineer to own regional control systems support across sites, including commissioning, on-call support, continuous improvement, change management and training. You will develop SOPs, performance metrics and implement standard operating procedures to ensure reliability and efficiency of equipment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis experience.
• 7+ years of industrial controls and automation experience.
• 7+ years of robotics work cells and control systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand and troubleshoot material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers, networks, motor control and distribution systems.
• Apply SME on troubleshooting and dive deep to resolve downtime for a region of onsite automation engineers.
• Programming and source coding for in-house PLC/PC controllers and SCADA/OEE platforms.
• Develop solutions related to Automation Systems.
• PM large-scale initiatives coordinating site-based Automation Engineers to achieve business goals.
• Create, optimize and monitor KPIs for machine efficiency, availability and quality.
• Communicate with vendors and senior leadership to plan technical resolutions.
• Provide technical guidance and decision making for collaboration projects with other Amazon teams.
• Provide 24/7 on-call rotational support across multiple sites.
• Travel up to 80%.
