Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Regional Automation Engineer to handle high-level control system support across a region. You will engage in commissioning, on-call support, continuous improvement, project management, and SOP development to enhance reliability and efficiency of equipment.

The role requires 4+ years in PLC automation, Siemens/Allen‑Bradley/Codesys ladder logic, and robotics experience, with up to 80% travel to sites across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS / EE / automation or equivalent, or 4+ years of PLC programming experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; 80% travel.
• 4+ years of PLC automation and issue diagnosis in process/production environments.
• 4+ years of Siemens, Allen-Bradley or Codesys ladder logic programming.
• 4+ years of robotics work cells and control systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot material handling control systems (PLC/PC, networks, drives, distribution).
• Apply SME troubleshooting to regional engineering issues and root cause analysis.
• Provide technical guidance for cross-team collaboration on projects.
• Offer escalation support to onsite automation engineers during/after hours.
• Travel up to 80% to support sites within the region.
