Job summary
Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Regional Automation Engineer Manager to lead onsite and regional automation teams across fulfillment centers in the United States. You will oversee controls automation, troubleshoot complex systems, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement using state-of-the-art material handling equipment including conveyors and SCADA platforms.
This role demands strong leadership and a track record in industrial automation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Automation Engineering or 7+ years of PLC programming/automation experience.
- 7+ years of industrial controls and automation experience.
- 7+ years of robotics work cells and control systems experience.
Responsibilities
- Apply SME on troubleshooting regional automation issues to reduce downtime of critical assets.
- Program and source coding for in-house PLC/PC controllers and SCADA/OEE platforms.
- Lead engineers in understanding and maintaining material handling control systems and industrial networks.
- Monitor MHE metrics and collaborate with maintenance to improve system performance.
- Provide regional escalation support and 24/7 on-call rotation for hardware and software systems.
- Travel up to 80%.
