Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Regional Automation Engineer to lead high-level control systems support across a region of sites. You will engage in commissioning, on-call support, continuous improvement, and project management, using data analytics and SPC to drive reliability and efficiency.

You will travel up to 80% to support multiple locations, troubleshoot PLC/PC controllers and robotics, and work with cross-functional teams to implement standard operating procedures and improvements.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent, or 4+ years of PLC programming/automation experience.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
• 4+ years in PLC-controlled automation in process/production environments.
• 4+ years of ladder logic/programming with Siemens/AB/Codesys.
• 4+ years of robotics work cells and control systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot material handling control systems (PLC/PC controllers, industrial networks, motor/servo drives).
• Provide SME-level troubleshooting and support a region of onsite automation engineers.
• Offer technical guidance and escalation support for cross-team projects and network issues.
• Travel up to 80% to support sites within assigned region.
