Job summary

Farmers seeks an experienced Auto Physical Damage Claims Adjuster to investigate, determine liability, and negotiate settlements across single and multi-vehicle losses. This hybrid/virtual role depends on location and offers collaboration with a regional hub.

You will communicate effectively with customers, coordinate repairs and rentals, and maintain ownership of each claim while complying with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Insurance Adjusters License in states where applicable, required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and determine liability for auto claims with basic to complex coverage.
• Secure statements, police reports, photos, estimates, and perform scene investigations.
• Explain coverage to customers and coordinate repair and rental options.
• Communicate with Underwriting and other claim specialists to resolve exposures.
• Maintain claim ownership and escalate when needed; document files per regulatory requirements.
