CJ Schwan’s is seeking an Area Sales & Distribution Manager to lead a high-performing sales and distribution team serving San Jose, CA and nearby areas. You will guide staff to meet sales targets, manage DOT compliance, and optimize delivery operations while developing your team for success.

You will travel to field locations at least three days per week, enjoy competitive base pay with upsides, and contribute to a culture that values safety, efficiency, and customer service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a role involving sales, sales operations, or route delivery/distribution.
• Bachelor’s degree and sales and/or Direct Store Delivery (DSD) experience in the food industry.
• CDL B preferred (we can budget for you to earn this within 60 days of hire)
• Understanding of financial/business requirements.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience presenting information to varied audiences.
• MS Office Suite and Outlook.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead staff to achieve sales and distribution goals and DOT compliance, with safety practices.
• Maximize sales and store-level opportunities through promotions and service.
• Optimize delivery truck utilization and route efficiency.
• Oversee distribution readiness, DOT compliance, routing, and pre/post-trip execution.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop team members for growth.
• Prepare and present financial and KPI reports to management.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvements.
• Analyze sales and distribution data to support business decisions.
• Maintain customer relationships across sales, merchandising and operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety and DOT policies and standards.
• Model company values and ethics in day-to-day conduct.
• Travel to field locations at least 3 days per week; occasional overnight travel.
