Job summary

Midway Mechanical Services is seeking a Regional AP/Project Accountant to support our Pacific Northwest operations in Seattle. The role starts with a focus on accounts payable and job-cost accounting, while progressively expanding into broader project accounting responsibilities with PMs, operations, and finance.

You will help monitor project financial performance, job costs, budgets, forecasts, WIP, and profitability as systems and processes evolve, offering growth within a dynamic, expanding

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting or accounts payable experience.
• Experience with invoice processing, coding, reconciliations, job costing.
• Proficiency with Excel including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Experience with an ERP or accounting system (NetSuite/QuickBooks/SAP/Oracle).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
• Assign invoices to the correct jobs, phases, cost codes, and GL accounts.
• Ensure proper approvals, POs, documentation, and accuracy.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and coding issues.
• Assist with vendor payments and responding to inquiries.
• Maintain AP and job-cost records and month-end close tasks.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to resolve job-cost and invoice issues.
