Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Regional Head of Air Business Process Excellence in Chicago to lead end-to-end governance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement for Maersk Air Freight across North America, with a US focus. You will translate global standards into practical local execution across gateways, warehouses, and Global Service Center operations.

You will design, test, implement, and sustain processes while guiding a regional team and influencing senior stakeholders in a complex matrix

Qualifications

Significant leadership experience in BPE/Operational Excellence within freight/logistics.
Deep practical Air Freight knowledge focused on US operations.
Proven track record building/process governance from ground up.
Experience leading large-scale process and change initiatives from design to adoption.
Strong Lean, Gemba, A3, KPI management capabilities.

Responsibilities

Own regional governance for Air Freight processes, procedures, controls, and standards.
Translate global standards into a regional roadmap with clear governance routines.
Lead hands-on process discovery, mapping, testing, and stabilization across gateways.
Establish KPI-driven performance management linking process measures to outcomes.
Guide tech integration (TMS, automation, AI) with global teams.
