Job summary

Midway Mechanical Services is seeking a Regional Accounts Payable Specialist to support our Pacific Northwest operations in Seattle, WA. The role offers a clear path into Project Accounting as you handle high-volume AP for multiple units and gain exposure to job costing and cost codes.

Responsibilities include invoicing, coding, vendor management, and assisting with month-end close, W-9s, 1099s, liens, retainage, and audits. On-site role with competitive starting wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of high-volume accounts payable experience.
• Construction, mechanical contracting, and/or job-cost accounting experience required.
• Experience coding invoices to jobs and cost codes.
• Experience with construction accounting software such as Davisware Vision, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Vista, Foundation, Sage, or similar ERP systems.
• Strong Excel and computer skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Assist with weekly cash requirements and payment scheduling.
• Support month-end close activities, AP accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate AP documentation for audits and financial reporting.
• Assist with vendor setup, W-9 collection, 1099 reporting, lien waivers, retainage tracking, and subcontractor compliance.

Midway Mechanical Services is seeking a Regional Accounts Payable Specialist to support our growing Pacific Northwest operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with construction or mechanical contracting experience who wants to expand into project accounting and advance within a growing organization.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• 2-4 years of high-volume accounts payable experience.
• Construction, mechanical contracting, and/or job-cost accounting experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of lien waivers, retainage, subcontractor compliance, and 1099 reporting.
• Experience working in a multi-company or shared services accounting environment.
