Job summary

Eaton’s Regional Controllership division seeks a Senior Accounting and Controls Analyst to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain internal controls, and support site closing activities across newly acquired sites. This role emphasizes GAAP compliance, SOX adherence, and continuous process improvement.

The analyst will partner with operations and global support centers to translate financial data into actionable insights and safeguard company assets through robust controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field.
• Minimum of two (2) years accounting/finance experience.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.
• No relocation benefit; candidates within 50 miles of an Eaton site will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Financial reporting: prepare statements following GAAP and SOX adherence, and local statutory/tax compliance.
• Internal controls: implement and monitor control procedures to minimize errors and fraud.
• Compliance: ensure compliance with accounting regulations and reporting requirements; adapt to new standards.
• Finance operations: support site finance leader actions including all closing and accounting activities.
• Data analysis: analyze financial data to identify trends and issues for informed decisions.
• Partnership: communicate financial information between operations and global support centers.
• Process improvement: identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
• Participate in MESH trainings and comply with site policies.
