Job summary

Cogent Communications is seeking a results-driven sales professional in New Orleans to grow a regional territory with high-volume outreach. You will identify opportunities, collaborate with management on strategic targets, and engage in field activities to build relationships with large commercial buildings and campuses.

The role focuses on educating customers about Cogent connectivity solutions, meeting monthly revenue goals, and maintaining accurate CRM records in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• 0–2+ years of sales experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with revenue deadlines.
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within a prescribed regional sales territory via high-volume calls and emails.
• Strategize with Sales Management on selling into large commercial properties and campuses.
• Supplement prospecting with field activities such as building walks and events.
• Educate customers on Cogent connectivity solutions through consultative selling.
• Update efforts in the CRM system and strive to meet monthly revenue goals.
