Qualifications

Description

Manage the sales territory identified by the Sales Director of PanAmerican Seed Co (PAS). Create information flow to support and expand sales of PAS products by working with distribution partners and focusing on key grower account support.

Ball Horticultural Company’s mission is to Color The World. We develop, produce, and sell flowers and plants globally.

The primary responsibilities of the role are:
  • Support all distributor sales reps, including those of Ball Seed Company and OD customers, with sales, technical support, and product usage of PAS products.
  • Develop plans and strategies for regional sales growth, contributing to forecasts and budgets.
  • Actively promote PAS products with key growers, including large retail suppliers, grower councils, etc.
  • Represent PAS at marketing and trade events such as Spring Pack Trials, trade shows, field trials, advanced trial meetings, and regional grower meetings. Prepare and deliver presentations to promote PAS products.
  • Coordinate sampling of new and existing varieties to demonstrate performance attributes to growers and influencers.
  • Provide industry intelligence to PAS and other internal teams like breeders, product managers, and demand managers regarding product-specific information.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture or a minimum of 3+ years’ experience in horticulture, preferably in account management, sales, or related fields.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time domestically and internationally.
  • Proven ability to communicate across organizational levels, with strong organization and follow-through skills.
  • Self-motivated team player.
  • Customer-focused, with skills in building relationships and delivering solutions.
  • Effective communicator, capable of multi-mode communication tailored to different audiences.
  • Collaborative, with a history of building partnerships to meet objectives.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills aligned with organizational goals.

Salary Range: $60,000 to $95,000 CAD

Physical Requirements:
  • Lift/Carry 25 lbs for 10% of the day
  • Push/Pull 50 lbs for 10% of the day
  • Sit/Stand for 80% of the day
  • Kneel/Bend for 10% of the day
  • Reach for 10% of the day
  • Climb/Balance for 10% of the day
  • Use hands/fingers for 80% of the day
  • Work in hot and humid conditions up to 60% of the day
