JOB SUMMARY:

The Regional Sales Manager-Pharma/BioPharma is expected to lead sales efforts within a specified region by developing solutions for our clientele within the Pharma/BioPharma industry. Responsibilities include educating potential customers on our products and services, proposing solutions tailored to their processes, and understanding client needs as well as our capabilities. The manager must utilize available resources such as internal teamwork, communication, follow-up, and data tracking to meet client and company expectations.

This is a remote position. Due to travel requirements, it is strongly preferred that the selected candidate resides in the North Eastern region of the United States.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Building a funnel of opportunities with a hunter mentality, closing business, and achieving quotas.
  • Developing and maintaining ongoing relationships with clients.
  • Understanding and developing strategies to help clients manufacture their products related to our offerings.
  • Communicating regularly with clients to ensure strategies are effective and informing them of new or enhanced products and services.
  • Using all internal resources (field support, business development, product management, inside sales, marketing, engineering, etc.) to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Resolving complaints, concerns, or issues promptly.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations to clients.
  • Preparing reports and updates for management.
  • Providing customer feedback to internal teams and proposing product/service improvements.
  • Identifying potential new clients and initiating relationships.
  • Attending tradeshows and promotional events as required.
  • Traveling within the region regularly.
  • Updating Salesforce database consistently, ensuring compliance with processes.
  • Maintaining professionalism and ethical standards at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Engineering, Pharmaceuticals, or Biotechnology preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant Pharma/BioPharma sales experience with proven success.
  • Ability to develop new business with existing and new customers.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
  • Proficiency in presentation software and report writing.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.

The work environment involves moderate noise levels, use of office equipment, and occasional exposure to mechanical and chemical environments. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities.

Physical demands include sitting, talking, hearing, walking, standing, lifting up to 40 pounds, and using vision and hand coordination.
