Job summary

West Michigan Regional Medical Consortium (WMRMC) seeks an Assistant Regional Coordinator for Region 7 to support the Regional Coordinator in delivering and expanding the regional healthcare coalition program. Based in Gaylord, MI, you will provide education, project support, and coordination for grant-funded initiatives.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree, 2+ years in healthcare or emergency management, strong Microsoft Office skills, public speaking experience, and solid organizational

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2+ years healthcare or emergency management experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Experience with public speaking and instruction preferred
• Strong project management and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the Regional Coordinator, oversee the design, development, organization, and teaching of grant-funded education programs throughout the region
• Develop education guidelines and plan for each grant cycle
• Ensure instructors are compliant with course requirements
• Coordinate all training programs and exercises sponsored or participated in by the region and measure effectiveness
• Establish liaisons with local, regional and state emergency management and public health systems
• Attend coalition and leadership meetings and represent the Regional Coordinator when needed
• Maintain knowledge of trends in the field
• Foster collaboration among partner agencies through open communication
