Job summary

HealthCorps is seeking a Director of Programs to lead its Midwest/Appalachia portfolio, starting with launching and managing a significant federally funded initiative in West Virginia. You will oversee regional teams, ensure grant compliance, and build partnerships with districts and community partners.

This senior role requires 7+ years in youth development or education leadership, strong grant management, and the ability to translate strategic plans into actionable programs across multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in youth development, education, public health, nonprofit leadership, or related field.
• Grant management experience with federal or other large public grant funded programs.
• Team management across multiple sites or regions with direct reports.
• Experience building partnerships with school districts, community organizations, and public-sector partners.
• Budgeting experience managing regional operating budgets and grant funded program budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Regional Program Managers and Coordinators across multiple states.
• Build high-level relationships with school districts, funders, community organizations, and stakeholders.
• Oversee federally funded programs, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and reporting.
• Monitor grant deliverables, budgets and program outcomes across regions.
• Represent HealthCorps at district meetings, community events, and strategic planning sessions.
