Job summary

World Relief seeks a Resettlement Coordinator to provide case management for newly arrived refugees under PIR, with primary responsibility in the 30-90 day period. The 20-hour weekly, limited-term role is hybrid with in-office demand up to 30% of time, through Sept 30, 2027, with potential renewal depending on funding.

Responsibilities include coordinating housing, services, and benefits while supporting integration and health access.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Social Work, Public Health, or related field; Masters preferred.
• Independent worker with strong critical thinking skills.
• Strong cross-cultural competency with diverse backgrounds.
• Minimum one year of case management experience in a social work setting.
• Flexible schedule for occasional early mornings, evenings or weekends.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide multi-faceted case management for newly arrived refugee and SIV clients.
• Offer orientation to life in the United States to promote community integration.
• Coordinate permanent housing and furnishings for refugees.
• Develop service plans and coordinate with other service providers.
• Help clients access medical care, education for children, and English for adults.
• Arrange transportation to core appointments and activities.
• Provide cultural orientation classes for newly arrived refugees.
• Assist with applying for public benefits including FNS, Medicaid and Cash Assistance.
• Maintain case files and notes in WR databases; perform admin duties.
• Collaborate with partners and volunteers to support employment and wellness.
