Job summary

Catholic Charities in Des Moines, IA, seeks a Case Manager to support newly arrived refugee clients under the Program of Initial Resettlement (PIR) within the CRC program. You will assist with housing, healthcare, education, benefits, and transportation, while coordinating tasks for aides, volunteers, and interns to ensure timely services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, or related field, or 1–2 years of experience.
• Experience with crisis intervention and social services for underserved communities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including cross-cultural communication.

Responsibilities

• Welcome newly arriving clients and assist with housing coordination.
• Transport and accompany clients to appointments; supervise Case Aide and volunteers.
• Complete required reports for funders and maintain case files.
• Coordinate with partners to provide timely services and documentation.
