Job summary

Bethany Christian Services USA LLC seeks a Teacher to support refugee and immigrant children, including reunification efforts and education, on-site in Nashville. You will plan and deliver lessons, assess students, and collaborate with case managers, clinicians, and foster families.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, ESL certification or equivalent training, 2+ years in a similar role, and bilingual English/Spanish with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college.
• Active ESL certification and additional training.
• At least two years of experience in a similar role.
• Must be CPR, First Aid, and AEC certified by hire.
• Bi-lingual English and Spanish; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and materials for active learning.
• Instruct and monitor students using learning materials and equipment.
• Maintain records of students' progress and development.
• Communicate progress to case manager, clinician, foster parents, and supervisor regularly.
• Support refugees and immigrant children in reunification and education.
• Participate in staff meetings and treatment team meetings.
