Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Refrigeration Technician in The Woodlands, TX. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration units on trucks and trailers, with a primary emphasis on reefer systems. Pay starts at $32.00 per hour and increases with experience.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ experience on Thermo King or Carrier reefer units, be 608 certified, own their own tools, and be willing to travel as needed.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must own your own tools.
• Must be 608 certified.
• 3+ years’ experience with Thermo King or Carrier reefer units.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair truck/trailer reefer units.
• Maintain transport refrigeration units on trucks and trailers using scanners and onboard computers.
• Perform preventive maintenance and component replacement on refrigeration equipment.
• Install new units on trailers, trucks, and vans.
• Travel as required and work the specified schedule.
