Job summary
Performance Foodservice seeks a Refrigeration Technician to diagnose, overhaul, adjust, and repair truck and trailer reefer equipment, focusing on commercial refrigeration units. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and replace components as needed to keep fleets running reliably.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of experience working on Thermo King or Carrier reefer units; 608 certified.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and ability to use shop equipment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of components on truck and trailer reefer units.
- Maintaining transport refrigeration units on trucks and trailers using scanners and onboard computers.
- Supports college recruiting efforts by developing relationships with partner universities and recruiting activities.
- Perform preventive maintenance, component replacement, and service to refrigeration equipment.
- Maintains truck/trailer refrigeration units and truck’s APU by reviewing shop orders.
- Repairing failures; testing for Freon leaks; soldering and welding as needed.
- Installing various new units on trailers, trucks, and vans.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
