Bachoco USA seeks a Refrigeration Technician for the Albertville Plant I, 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.). You will operate and maintain the ammonia refrigeration system, including spiral freezers, boilers, compressors and the CO2 system, ensuring temperatures and safety. The role requires troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and securing HAZMAT and boiler certifications.

Qualifications

• Operates and maintains the ammonia refrigeration system.
• Repairs and maintains spiral freezers, air units, boilers, compressors, CO2 system, air pressure, chilled water and plant temperatures.
• Troubleshoots inoperable or malfunctioning machinery to detect root cause.
• Dismantles and repairs machinery and reassembles equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance including lubrication and cleaning.
• Maintains gauges, valves and related equipment and monitors system performance.
• Must attain and maintain HAZMAT entry certification and boiler license per OSHA checks.

Position Summary: Operates and maintains the ammonia refrigeration system:

• Repairs and maintains spiral freezers, air units, boilers, compressors, CO2 system, air pressure, chilled water and plant temperatures
• Troubleshoots inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment to detect root cause
  • Listens for unusual sounds
  • Feels for unusual vibration
  • Communicates with users regarding what was observed or smelled
• Dismantles inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment, installs new or repaired parts and reassembles the machinery or supporting equipment
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of the machinery and supporting equipment as part of the Preventative Maintenance Program
• Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment
• Monitors facility temperatures and makes adjustments as necessary
• Must be able to attain and maintain required certification for the HAZMAT entry team
• Must be able to attain and maintain a boiler license and complete document OSHA checks of internal boilers
• Other duties as assigned
