Job summary

Bachoco Group is seeking a Refrigeration Technician for the Fort Smith, AR facility (2nd Shift). The role operates and maintains the ammonia refrigeration system and ensures safety compliance as part of a 12:00 pm–9:00 pm shift, Wednesday through Sunday, with strong emphasis on preventive maintenance and timely repairs.

Compensation includes a pay range of $21–$28.50 per hour, with benefits and company-paid holidays and vacation.

Qualifications

• Operates and maintains the ammonia refrigeration system.
• Must be able to attain and maintain the HAZMAT entry team certification.
• Must be able to attain and maintain a boiler license and complete OSHA checks of internal boilers.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains ammonia refrigeration system.
• Repairs and maintains spiral freezers, air units, boilers, compressors, CO2 system, air pressure, chilledwater, and plant temperatures.
• Troubleshoots inoperable or malfunctioning machinery to detect root cause.
• Dismantles, replaces parts and reassembles machinery or equipment.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts as part of Preventative Maintenance.
• Monitors facility temperatures and makes adjustments as necessary.

Shift Hours: 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm - Wednesday to Sunday

Pay Rate: $ 21 - $ 28.50 / based on assessment

Position Summary: Operates and maintains the ammonia refrigeration system:

• Repairs and maintains spiral freezers, air units, boilers, compressors, CO2 system, air pressure, chilledwater,and planttemperatures.
• Troubleshoots inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment to detect root cause
  • Listens for unusual sounds
  • Feels for unusual vibration
  • Communicates with users regarding what was observed or smelled
• Dismantles inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment, installs new or repaired parts and reassembles the machinery or supporting equipment
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings,gears,and other parts of the machinery and supporting equipment as part of the Preventative Maintenance Program
• Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment
• Monitors facility temperatures andadjustsasnecessary.
• Must be able to attain and maintain required certification for the HAZMAT entry team
• Must be able to attain and maintain a boiler license and complete document OSHA checks of internal boilers
• Other duties as assigned
