As a Refrigeration Technician, you will work with the maintenance team to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, Refrigeration, and facilities equipment to maintain critical temperatures and improve system reliability. This role is the resident expert in refrigeration systems.

Shift:

Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm

Responsibilities include:

1. Maintain and operate industrial refrigeration systems including large rack systems, split systems, blast chillers, cooling towers, and ancillary equipment.
2. Lead and educate compliance with all safety, food safety, and security standards.
3. Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on assigned refrigeration and HVAC systems and ancillary equipment.
4. Troubleshoot assigned out-of-service equipment, act as an escalation point, and escalate issues as needed.
5. Document all work in the CMMS and ticketing systems.
6. Mentor maintenance personnel in refrigeration skills.
7. Lead root cause analysis of major downtime events.
8. Develop maintenance personnel knowledge on refrigeration processes, tools, and techniques.
9. Audit work quality and provide feedback for performance improvement.
10. Write or modify PMs to standardize and increase effectiveness.
11. Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on CO2 and Freon systems.
12. Provide training to entry-level technicians.
13. Perform building project work as assigned.

Mandatory Requirements:

1. 4-6 years of refrigeration repair and maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
2. Advanced understanding of rack refrigeration systems.
3. Experience with glycol systems, heat exchangers, HVAC, and water chillers.
4. Electrical systems experience, including troubleshooting to component level.
5. EPA Section 608 certification.
6. Regulatory licenses as required locally.
7. Good work habits aligned with GMPs.
8. Knowledge of handling and recycling refrigerants.
9. Ability to replace mechanical and electrical components safely.
10. Experience with networked refrigeration controls platforms.
11. Physical ability to walk, lift, climb, and work in confined spaces.
12. Basic computer skills and ability to read schematics.
13. Travel up to 10% as needed.
14. High School diploma or equivalent.
15. Strong follow-through, judgment, and a proactive attitude.
