Description:

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a full-time Service Technician to join our Service department. This position works closely with our Service Managers and requires expertise in refrigeration principles, mechanical and electrical systems, and safety regulations to ensure our customers' equipment operates efficiently and reliably.

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is a premier custom design-build contractor for industrial refrigeration systems, providing design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and service in-house.

Job Role:

The Service Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and support of industrial refrigeration equipment for our valued customers. A working knowledge of commercial and industrial refrigeration and electrical controls is required for success in this role.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday (45-60 hours per week)

Key Duties:

• Perform refrigeration repair and maintenance support for industrial accounts in food and beverage and refrigerated storage equipment ranging from 100 HP to 5,000 HP.
• Conduct routine and emergency service on ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment commonly used in industrial applications.
• Utilize knowledge of screw and reciprocating compressors, electrical troubleshooting of ammonia central systems, and control/alarm systems to perform inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED; HVAC tech school preferred.
• Universal EPA certification or ability to obtain.
• RETA 1 & 2 certification preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening, felony screening, and motor vehicle record check.
• Ability to wear a respirator and pass a fit test.
• Excellent physical condition required, including climbing ladders, lifting, and working long hours.
