Refrigeration Technician - Second Shift (Finance)

Coordinate and supervise all activities related to the Ammonia System and Mechanical Room, ensuring adherence to proper procedures and safety guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

1. Start the process ammonia system daily.
2. Provide technical and mechanical support to the Ammonia System and Mechanical Room.
3. Collaborate with the Safety Supervisor in managing and auditing the PSM and RMP programs.
4. Define the scope of these programs and communicate roles and responsibilities to all involved personnel.
5. Ensure that Management of Change (MOC) and Process Hazard Analysis are conducted as needed for all plant process modifications and projects.
6. Update Process Safety Information for all process-related modifications.
7. Assist in incident investigations required by PSM and RMP programs.
8. Ensure timely completion of training requirements for both programs.
9. Ensure revalidations of the PHA's are conducted on time by an independent contractor.
10. Meet all deadlines such as Annual Certification of Operating and Maintenance procedures.
11. Ensure Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance programs meet PSM and RMP requirements.
12. Assist in developing adequate maintenance training programs, coordinate with maintenance groups to ensure process reliability, and implement a full preventive maintenance program.
13. Operate the mechanical room boiler as necessary.
14. Establish operational and preventive maintenance procedures.
15. Maintain mechanical room records.
16. Perform duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Experience & Skills

• Training in mechanical engineering, refrigeration, or related skills.
• Two to three years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the food industry.
• Five or more years of experience working in vocational trades such as HVAC, electrical, electronics, or mechanical.
• Stationary Engineer license required.

Education

Technical school degree or equivalent trade training or knowledge.

Work Environment

Work is generally performed within a manufacturing environment subjected to cold and warm temperatures, requiring proper PPE. Standard office equipment is available, alongside the plant manufacturing environment.
