Job summary

CoolSys is seeking Refrigeration Start-up Technicians to lead start-ups of supermarket refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment. You will implement EMS wiring and programming, support energy optimization projects, and lead small installation projects across diverse stores.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in commercial refrigeration, EMS expertise (CPC/Novar/Danfoss), EPA I/II, and a valid license. Travel, overtime, and cross-team collaboration are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Coursework at an accredited vocational-technical or trade school.
• 3+ years of supermarket EMS systems experience.
• EPA I and II Certification required.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial refrigeration; CO2 a plus.
• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
• Knowledge of EMS wiring and programming (CPC, Novar, Danfoss).
• Ability to read blueprints for refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Evacuations of parallel racks after pressure tests.
• EMS wiring and programming for EMS systems.
• Full start-up of new parallel refrigeration systems.
• Lead small projects such as single case and condenser changeouts.
• Assist with EO projects including retro-commissioning and EMS upgrades.
• Coordinate with Service and Construction Managers between projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
