Job summary

CoolSys is seeking Refrigeration Start-up Technicians to install and commission supermarket refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems. You will ensure efficient start-ups and support energy optimization projects across multiple stores.

Ideal candidates have strong EMS knowledge (CPC, Novar, Danfoss), a journeyman level skillset, and willing to travel, work overtime, and collaborate with field teams to deliver reliable system performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational-technical coursework preferred.
• 3+ years of supermarket EMS systems experience.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial refrigeration; CO2 a Plus.
• EPA I and II Certification required.
• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up of supermarket refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment.
• Lead EMS wiring and programming for EMS systems.
• Perform full start-up of new parallel refrigeration systems.
• Lead small projects such as single case and condenser changes.
• Assist with Energy Optimization (EO) projects and EMS upgrades.
• Coordinate with local branch Service and Construction Managers on project needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
