Job summary

Hussmann seeks a skilled Technician to perform routine maintenance on supermarket refrigeration systems and self-contained merchandisers. You will diagnose and repair HVAC/R equipment with guidance from senior technicians, while completing documentation and using a handheld device for invoicing.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, leak detection, soldering, and ensuring safe operation of components.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• HVAC-R technical school degree preferred.
• External candidates: 5 years field experience or 3 years with certification; Internal: 1 year as Qualified Technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on supermarket refrigeration systems and self-contained merchandisers.
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration, heating, and air-conditioning systems with some direction.
• Conduct preventative maintenance for convenience stores and supermarkets, including compressor work and coil cleaning.
• Detect and repair leaks; solder copper/brass joints and components as needed.
• Complete work tickets and timesheets; use handheld device for invoicing.
