Hussmann Corporation seeks an experienced HVAC/R Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems in supermarkets and cold storage facilities. You will operate independently, build customer relations, and identify sales opportunities.

Responsibilities include leading PM programs, mentoring technicians, and ensuring accurate paperwork. The role requires EPA 608 certification, strong mechanical aptitude, and willingness to work nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• HVAC-R technical school degree preferred.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
• External candidates: 7 years field experience or 5 years with technical cert.
• Internal candidates: 3 years as Certified Technician with OJT & Skills Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance, diagnosis and repair of refrigeration, heating & air-conditioning systems in supermarkets, convenience stores and cold storage facilities.
• Lead PM programs and mentor other technicians.
• Manage truck inventory; order, receive, bill out and maintain parts with minimal waste.
• Complete necessary paperwork and invoicing accurately and on time using handheld devices.
• Identify and size thermostatic expansion valves and troubleshoot refrigeration systems.
