Job summary

Monroe Energy is seeking a Metals Supervisor to lead the metals mechanics, contractors, and support crafts responsible for maintaining fixed refinery equipment. Direct supervision includes coordinating safety, scheduling, and cost-effective maintenance across heaters, boilers, piping, and vessels.

The role requires 5 years of supervisory maintenance experience in a high-risk industry, strong CMMS skills, and a diploma (AA/BS preferred).

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience in a high-risk industry such as refining, petrochemical, or chemical processing.
High School Diploma or equivalent required; AA/BS degree preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; CMMS software experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in role-specific competencies.

Responsibilities

Direct daily activities of metals mechanics, contractors, and support crafts maintaining refinery equipment and facilities.
Ensure maintenance work complies with safety, engineering, and regulatory standards.
Review weekly schedule and work packages; communicate changes to crews.
Prepare and lead pre-job meetings; adherence to break-in work processes.
Enforce start/stop/break times and manage overtime/coverage as needed.
Provide planner feedback on planning deficiencies (materials, man-hours, steps).
Provide daily updates on supervision and end-of-shift status to Operations and OMC.
