Job summary

Valero Energy in Corpus Christi, TX, is seeking a Maintenance Planner to develop job plans for daily maintenance activities and expense projects at the Bill Greehey Refinery. You will prepare job packages, coordinate with Maintenance, Operations, Safety and Purchasing to maximize efficiency and control costs.

The role requires 3 years of planning or maintenance experience in refining, ability to read engineering drawings, and proficiency with computer-based planning tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of planning and/or maintenance experience in refining or related industry.
• Experience reading engineering drawings (plot plans, piping isometrics, and P&IDs).
• Experience using computer-based planning and scheduling tools.
• Able and willing to work on-site at the Valero Bill Greehey Refinery.

Responsibilities

• Provides job plans for daily maintenance activities and expenses projects.
• Prepares work packages and planning assistance for emergency shutdowns.
• Reviews work orders and establishes scope, labor, tools, materials, and equipment.
• Estimates resources for approved work orders and prepares drawings/specs.
• Coordinates scheduling with Maintenance, Operations, Safety and Purchasing.
• Accumulates costs for reporting and monitors contractor productivity.
• Covers for Maintenance Supervisors when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
