Job summary

Valero in Corpus Christi, TX, seeks a Mechanic 2nd Class - Pump to maintain and repair refinery rotating equipment, align machinery, and ensure safe operation. You will inspect pumps, set up work sites, and use hand and power tools in a hands-on role.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of rotating equipment experience or a related technical degree, with on-site work at the Corpus Christi refinery. OT applies for this hourly position.

Qualifications

• 2+ years rotating equipment or related experience, or a related degree.
• Able and willing to work on-site at Valero Corpus Christi refineries.

Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, and maintains rotating equipment within the refinery.
• Inspects and maintains pumps.
• Adjusts and aligns machinery and equipment.
• Uses hand and power tools to complete tasks and prepare the work site.
• Follows safety guidelines to ensure reliable operation.
