Job summary

Valero Corpus Christi refinery is seeking a Maintenance Planner to provide job plans for daily maintenance activities and expense projects. The role requires reviewing authorized work orders, preparing scopes, and coordinating with operations and safety teams.

The position is on-site, salaried exempt, and requires 3 years of planning/maintenance experience in refining. Strong drafting and supervisory experience are preferred, along with a willingness to work at the refinery site in Corpus

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of planning/maintenance experience in refining or related industry required.
• Experience reading engineering drawings (plot plans, piping isometrics, P&IDs) required.
• Experience using computer-based planning and scheduling tools required.
• Able and willing to work on-site at Valero Bill Greehey Refinery.

Responsibilities

• Provides job plans for daily maintenance activities and for expense projects.
• Reviews work orders authorized by Maintenance users.
• Prepares work scope and lists labor, tools, materials, and equipment.
• Estimates manpower, materials and equipment for approved work orders.
• Prepares drawings, bids, specs and procedures to aid planning managers.
• Maintains records for planning and scheduling activities.
• Coordinates scheduling with Maintenance, Operations, Safety and Purchasing.
• Tracks costs for reporting on specific jobs.
• Assists in monitoring contractor productivity at the refinery.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
