Phillips 66 is hiring an Instrument Technician for the Borger Refinery in Borger, Texas. The role involves diagnosing and maintaining instrumentation, control loops, and process analyzers within a refinery environment.

You will troubleshoot DCS/PLC-controlled systems, commissioning new instrumentation, and performing routine maintenance and safety-critical tasks. Strong reading of P&IDs and a willingness to work extended shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willing to work 8–12 hour shifts including weekends/nights; on-call; overtime; confined spaces; high-temp/high-pressure environments.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot, repair, and re-install control loops, controllers, transmitters, valves, and switches.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation controlled by DCS and PLC systems.
• Remove, repair, and re-install automated valves, positioners, and actuators.
• Maintain online analyzers and sample systems (gas chromatographs, CEMS, pH, etc.).
• Read loop drawings, P&IDs, wiring, and schematics; configure and commission new instrumentation.
• Install instrument tubing and fittings; operate motorized and manual equipment.
