Job summary

AltaMed is seeking a Referral Coordinator to enter referral requests accurately into the designated portal and to follow up on all specialty referrals. You will serve as a vital link among patients, providers, and Medical Management to secure timely specialty care.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and at least 4 years of experience; a Medical Assistant certificate is preferred, with bilingual abilities (English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese) favored.

Job Overview

The Referral Coordinator is responsible for accurate and timely data entry of referral requests into the appropriate portal.This position is also responsible for follow-up on all specialty referrals.This position is an integral part of the care team, working as a liaison between the patient, provider, and Medical Management to ensure timely access to specialty care.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience required.
• Medical Assistant certificate preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred.

Compensation

$26.78 - $31.47 hourly
