Job summary

Jax Spine & Pain Centers in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a detail-oriented Referral Coordinator to join our team. You will coordinate inbound and outbound referrals, obtain authorizations, and serve as liaison among physicians, patients, and insurers to ensure timely access to specialty care.

The ideal candidate has medical office experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and a solid understanding of HIPAA and EMR systems to maintain accurate records and support seamless patient

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical office experience, preferably in referrals or care coordination.
• Familiarity with insurance referral requirements and authorizations.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
• Experience coordinating referrals with providers and insurance companies.

Responsibilities

• Process and coordinate incoming and outgoing patient referrals accurately.
• Obtain and verify referrals and authorizations from insurance carriers.
• Schedule specialty appointments and notify patients.
• Review patient records to ensure complete referrals.
• Communicate with referring providers, specialists, and payers regarding status.
• Maintain EMR documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA.
