Job summary

Kirby Medical Center in Monticello, IL is seeking a Referral and Authorization Analyst to support the Revenue Cycle team. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with schedule Monday to Friday, 8am–4:30pm.

The successful candidate will compile itemized hospital bills, verify insurance coverage, and compute benefits for patients. Experience in patient financial services and knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid insurance is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Thorough understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, HMOs, PPOs, private insurance companies.
• Basic computer knowledge, data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare itemized hospital bills and verify patient insurance coverage.
• Compute patient insurance benefits.
• Coordinate with Admitting Office, Medical Records and physicians' office staff.
• Participate in CQI activities and performance improvement.

Job Summary:

The Referral and Pre-Authorization Clerk is responsible for compiling itemized hospital bills, verifying patient insurance coverage and computing patient insurance benefits. Works closely with the Admitting Office, Medical Records, and physicians' office staff. Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities.

Requirements
