Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 1 year of Job Developer experience or similar.
• High school diploma with 4 years of experience as a Job Developer or similar.
• Knowledge of current management techniques.
• Familiar with the correctional system and policies.
• Ability to conduct individual counseling sessions and facilitate small groups.
• Ability to write clear concise reports in English.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to work with computers and the software used by the department.

Responsibilities

• Uses computer labs and educational classes to provide instruction, resources and referrals for educational and employment advancement.
• Provides quality oversight for supervising and/or rehabilitation program functions for clients.
• Learns and applies What Works system principles in interactions with clients and staff.
• Conducts individual education assessments and creates treatment plans.
• Assesses parolee training needs and refers to employers or training facilities.
• Assists in forming plans to achieve occupational goals and arranges referrals.
