Job summary
Fortune Society seeks a Vocational Instructor to deliver digital skills and customer service training to individuals reintegrating after incarceration. You will develop curricula, facilitate sessions in person or online, and support participants with trauma-informed coaching in a compassionate, participant-centered manner.

Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–2 years of teaching, training, or working in correctional or reentry programs
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Ability to break down technical jargon for non-technical audiences
- Strong communication with diverse participants and staff
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, and video conferencing
- Flexible schedule availability
- Ability to obtain volunteer services clearance
- Experience with diverse populations
Responsibilities
- Deliver digital skills and customer service/retail training in-person and online
- Develop and update curricula, handouts, and presentations
- Monitor attendance, progress toward goals, and class performance
- Collaborate with Employment Services and Digital Equity teams to improve programs
- Attend meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
- Apply trauma-informed practices to support participants
- Engage in regular participant case conferences and planning meetings
- Perform other related duties as needed
