Job summary

The University of California, Merced seeks an experienced Academic Advisor, Degree Completion Program (DCP) Coordinator to support reentry and degree-completion initiatives. You will work under the Director of Student Services, delivering advising for reentry and current students and developing degree-planning guidance.

You will collaborate with SSHA advisors, faculty, and campus partners to implement a coordinated advising program, interpret policies, and help students navigate degree

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in education, counseling, or student affairs.
• Advanced degree in education, counseling, or student affairs (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Onboard reentry students into SSHA and manage reentry activities and programs.
• Provide advice to students on degree requirements and progression.
• Collaborate with SSHA Academic Advisors, faculty, and campus units.
• Advise instructors on university policies and scheduling needs for student progression.
• Assist with policy and process improvements affecting reentry and returning students.
• May supervise student employees.
