Job summary

New Freedom is seeking a Communications Specialist I to mentor individuals involved in reentry, manage correspondence, navigate resources, and provide practical support for successful community reintegration. You will engage via letters, calls, and approved channels, coordinate curriculum, and connect participants with housing and recovery resources.

Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to manage detailed records while maintaining professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with participants via letters, calls, email, and approved channels.
• Provide mentorship, curriculum, resources, and reentry guidance.
• Identify housing, recovery, community, and other reentry resources for participants.
• Process correspondence and maintain participant records in Salesforce.
• Monitor participant information for needs, progress, concerns, and barriers.
• Collaborate with ADCRR personnel, families, partners, and internal departments.
• Meet documentation, quality, productivity, and departmental expectations.
