Job summary

University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB is seeking a Caseworker for a temporary, full-time, benefited role on the San Bernardino campus. The position handles client intake, assessment, and ongoing case management for justice-involved individuals, with duties spanning documentation, resource referrals, and coordination with parole and service providers.

The role requires 2+ years in the criminal justice field (or 4+ years with a high school diploma), strong interpersonal skills, and HIPAA

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher with 2 years criminal justice population experience, or high school diploma with 4 years related experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of reentry programs, criminal justice systems, and resources.
• Typing/keystroke skills are required; a speed of 45 WPM is necessary.
• Empathy and cultural competence.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Commitment to supporting justice-involved individuals in achieving positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake to assess client needs, goals, and risk factors.
• Develop individualized case management plans including exit strategies.
• Provide referrals to housing, job training, counseling, and legal resources.
• Meet with clients to monitor progress and update plans.
• Maintain accurate records and generate required reports.
• Ensure HIPAA-compliant service delivery and collaboration with partners.
• Coordinate with parole officers, providers, and community groups.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and certifications.
